Customizable Start-Up Screen

Argus offers the ability to customize the start-up screen on the thermal imager. This is a handy feature and enables the customer to put their department logo, and even station or apparatus numbers or descriptions onto the TIC start-up screen.

How To: Customize Start-Up Screen

These instructions are for the 320x240 Argus TIC screen. For older cameras with 160x20 screens the file size would need to be 160x120 pixels. The process is identical besides that.

1. Open image in program (such as Microsoft Paint) to adjust image properties. Must be 320x240 pixels .bmp file to upload.
2. Open Argus4 imaging software.
3. In menu click on Camera / Change Start-up Splash.
4. In Camera Splash Screen window click File / Open (.bmp images will appear). Click on the image you wish to setup as splash screen.
5. Click “Open” and the image will appear in Camera Splash Screen window.
6. In menu, click on “Custom Splash” / “Send to Camera”, then click “View on Camera”.
7. Image should be viewable on camera LCD.
8. Click “Enable Splash”.
