Argus Thermal Imaging Cameras

Longer Battery Life

An Argus battery will power the camera for a minimum of four hours at room temperature, when charged to its maximum capacity. This is considerably longer than most other TIC batteries on the market.

The battery pack uses nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries. Ni-MH is resistant to developing “memory”, and is one of the safest batteries when used in high heat environments. Argus has resisted the temptation to go with Lithium Ion batteries because of current Lithium Ion batteries' issues with running hot and having potential explosion problems when used in a high heat environment. Nickel metal hydride batteries do not have these problems.

The battery is designed for easy insertion which can be performed with one gloved hand. There is a simple push button on the left hand side of the camera, which releases the battery.
