While NFPA 1999 does not address head impact protection, it does establish criteria for face protection. With the faceshield and ear cover protection, this helmet meets NFPA 1999, 2003 Edition performance requirements for bloodborne pathogen face protection and BPR shower test. A trim package is also highly recommended. This helmet is for Emergency Medical Operations only, as this product uses a Poly-Med type shell that does not offer added thermal resistance like the other materials. EMS options include goggles, trim, chinstraps, faceshields, hearing protection and ear covers. Ultra lightweight and extremely affordable. Helmet material is Thermo-FYR.
